Wow, so much has happened since I last blogged but most of you already know because of Facebook :) I got a new car on July 31st because mine would have cost WAY too much to repair. I love my new car but at times I miss my old one. I FINALLY got an interview with the school and less than 2 hours later they called and offered me the job. I am officially the new K-5 music teacher for Athena/Weston! I have been teaching since August 27. I LOVE IT!! For those of you that know me, know that in college I swore I would NOT teach any grade lower than 7th...boy, I guess we don't always get what we want. I didn't want to deal with the little kids and didn't think I would like it at all. Total opposite...they are GREAT!! They are like sponges and they are so eager to learn! I get to plan my first Christmas concert it is on December 14th @ 7:00pm at the Athena High School gym. So if you have the time come watch :)
Kris is still working at Home Depot and loving it. He applied for a different position that would have moved his shift from 1-10 to 7-4 but they decided not to fill it because hours would get cut and he would be one of the people to have their hours cut. He just started getting full-time hours in September and is still getting them. There is an officer position open here in Weston again and he wants to apply for it. I do not know if he is going to or if he has. He told me they want someone with 5 years experience and he has none. Although he does enjoy working at Home Depot he really wants to work in law enforcement.
The boys started school on August 27th and they are enjoying it so far. They are both currently playing football and when that is over they want to play hockey. Thankfully, it is at the same time as basketball and I really don't want them to play basketball this year. Kristopher turned 12 on September 24th! Time is flying by! We had his birthday party at the Walla Walla bike track, and the kids had a BLAST! Kamryn will be 10 in December and sadly his birthday falls during Christmas break so we will be sending out invites before school lets out. He doesn't know yet what he wants to do.
My sister had Charlie Elizabeth on 8/10/10. Such a precious girl! She also got a job recently and is very excited but exhausted at the same time. Other than those updates, I don't have any other news. I will hopefully be blogging more now that I have stuff going on in my life.
Until next time.....

Kamryn and His Teddy Bear
Kamryn was sleeping on the couch and when he got up his little brown bear was on the couch. I am watching the twins and Whitney for Rachelle while she is at a doctors appointment and Sean was sitting on the couch. Kamryn came back in and grabbed his bear so I asked him if he slept with it and he smiled and nodded. So cute :) As he is walking away with the bear Sebastian said "That is his Baby." It was cute and funny! Kamryn thought I was making fun of him but I wasn't. I think it is great that he still sleeps with his stuffed animals. Him and Kristopher have about a million of them so I am glad they still get used :)
On another note, my car is not running. We got the new radiator and put it in and it still wouldn't start. Come to find out the head gaskets are shot. We are currently waiting to hear about a new car. Just waiting and praying and knowing God is in control :)
I am supposed to hear about an interview time sometime between now and the 1st for the Music teacher position here. I will let everyone know when the interview is going to be.
The boys are getting bored as usual because "there is nothing to do." but sooner than they want it to happen school will start and then they will complain about that.
I hope everyone is surviving the heat and keeping cool, until next time...

Cars, cars, cars...
Last Thursday I was on my way home from clogging and my car overheated, there is a hole in the radiator. Went back the next day to put fluids in it to drive it home and when I went to start the car, fluid shot out of the hole. We now need a new radiator. It was bigger than we thought. Thankfully, it was right outside of Athena so my parents came to my rescue and took us home. I had a clogging performance in Baker on Saturday so Susan and I drove over on Friday and stayed the night. While I was gone Kris got the car home. Found out on Sunday that Mickie came to the rescue about 5 am on Saturday morning. She was coming home from work and saw two young guys looking in the windows of my car and looking at the tires. She pulled over and told them that she knows the owner of the car and that they better get lost! Thank you Mickie for stopping them from taking anything from my car.
The clogging performance went better than expected. A lot of the dancers were still not solid on the dances but when we messed up we just kept dancing. It was hot!! I danced on the float for about 90% of the parade until I felt like I was going to pass out. I remembered on the ride back to the hotel that I didn't eat breakfast! Of course I know better and I usually don't do that.
Yesterday we got a new radiator ordered and it should be here by Thursday. I am on a roll!! I was looking online and found the way to fix the A/C problem. There is a ticking in my dash which Kris and I knew it was caused by a door sticking. Hopefully, once the radiator is fixed I will be able to fix the A/C and get it running just in time for summer to be over...lol. Awe, we have a while before that happens :)
My brother will be getting out in 14 days!! I am soooo excited because he will be staying with me! He is cleaning himself up and I am excited to see him grow in his new life and in his walk with GOD!!
Well, back to watching episodes of House that we recorded. I will have something funny soon I hope :)

Summer Time
It has been a while since I have written anything so I decided at 1:18 a.m. that I would do just that :)
The boys have been out of school for a little over a month and within the first week off they were already saying they were bored. Go figure! Of course when they say that I tell them they can do chores and surprisingly enough they find something to do. They have been spending their days playing outside, playing video games and swimming at the pool in Pendleton. There have been many funny moments coming from both of them but I forget to write them down.
Kris is still working at Home Depot and enjoys it but does not like the fact that they are cutting his hours still! Other than that he is doing GREAT!
I applied for the music teacher position over here on May 8th and the closing date was supposed to be May 10th. Well, to my surprise when I called on June 18th I was told that there was to be a final budget meeting on the 21st and I would get a call around the 28th about whether or not they were keeping the program and when they would do interviews. So I called them on the 29th because I hadn't heard anything and was told that it then would be after the 4th of July before I heard anything because another person went in and picked up an application and they were giving her until this week to get it in. I did not call on Monday because I figured no one would be there. I called today and was told "we still don't know what we are doing with the job." UM HELLO!!!! So now I am supposed to hear something by the end of the week and if I don't I am to call back on Monday. Still no interview and school starts back up in a little over a month...what's WRONG with this picture?? Very, very frustrating! I just have to play the hurry up and wait game, hopefully, a little longer.
On a happier note, we went to Boardman for the 4th of July and it was AWESOME!! Kris spent his younger years in Boardman and thought that maybe we should go over there since none of us, except him, had been there for the 4th. We got to Boardman about 5:30 p.m. and the fireworks didn't start until 9:50 p.m., so next time we won't leave so early :) There were Canadian Geese all over the water and when the fireworks started they flew out of the water straight for the crowd! Once they realized there were people they stopped and stayed about two feet away from us. The boys were a little worried but eventually forgot all about them. There were two fountain fireworks that were the family's favorites and describing them here would not do them justice. One was a purple fountain that went off at different heights and the other was a multi-colored fountain that shot balls and spun in a circle...REALLY COOL!! Although we didn't get home until midnight we all had a good time.
We also got a puppy on the 4th, the boys named him Scout. He is lab/border collie mixed. They love him and are doing a great job taking care of him. He does very well at night when he isn't in his kennel, that will take a while for him to get used to. :)
Kris and I will be celebrating 3 years on July 13th! I can't believe it has been that long already...I know it really isn't that long but time sure does fly. We don't know what we are doing yet but we will be doing something :) Anyone want to babysit...lol...ok, supervise :)
Well, I think I have said enough for now. I will blog more often...if I can remember....

Busy, Busy, Busy...and Sick!
We have been very busy around here. Congratulations to Chris and Anne Dennett! It was a beautiful wedding and I will be posting pictures in a few weeks. Poor Anne was sick at the wedding and she was so nice that she shared it :) Ok maybe not exactly what she had but something.
I had the flu last week and was in bed all day on Tuesday...it sucked. Kris had it too, he missed a day and half of work because of it. Rachelle's birthday was also that same day :( I got up enough energy to go to Mom's for a little party for Rachelle...glad I went! Thankfully for me the worst part of the flu only lasted 1 day. I was glad :)
So this week...last night I went to bed feeling stuffy with some sinus pressure...and I knew what was coming. Sure enough woke up this morning with a TON of sinus pressure and congestion...none other than my best friend SINUS INFECTION!! I have been taking meds and drinking LOTS of water.
We went to Walla Walla for an appointment for Kristopher and after met Mom at Wal-mart. We got the stuff we needed and then decided that we would go to Mom's house to visit.
Mom, Jen and I were sitting at the table talking and Mom said "What's wrong?" I said "I have a sinus infection." Mom "You can't be sick, you were sick last week." Me "I know, I got jipped. Stupid sinuses. Last week the flu, this week sinus infection, wonder what it will be next week." And low and behold there comes a little voice from behind me "Swine flu?" The all to famous comedian Kamryn Michael Dalrymple! Good night everyone!

Beautiful day
Today it is nice and warm outside :) Kris is changing my brakes...wooohooo! Kamryn and I have been inside with the windows open and he found a ladybug climbing on the window. For some reason he names all ladybugs he finds Lightning. Well, this one he first named it Lightning then changed it to Steve. So Steve is climbing on his finger then he says "Get lost Steve!" as he flicks him off his finger. Steve flies from his finger to the screen and sticking, so Kamryn was laughing his head off every time it happened.
I finally told him to stop and was going to say because he will end up on the couch and he will lose him and he says "Why? Is it bug abuse?" Then the laughing was on. He kept flicking him and finally flicked him so that he hit the window and landed "On his head!" Then Kamryn picked him up again and while he was on his finger he turned to say something to me and Steve got away. He looked at his hand and said "STEVE!" "I lost him!" He looked for him for a little while and found him on the wall behind the couch. He finally got distracted by something else and I thought he had forgotten about Steve.
After the search, I was playing with Kamryn and he was jumping on me and I said "Why don't you go play with Steve?" Kamryn said "Don't say that name! I lost him and it hurts to hear it!"
Only Kamryn......

Track meet
Today the kids had their first track meet of the season. Kamryn did track last year but this is Kristopher's first year. I thought for sure Kristopher would end up not liking it because he is kind of slow...boy was I wrong! Kristopher was AWESOME! He did the long jump, javelin, shot put and relay race. He got 7.9 and 8.8 on his long jump, and his team got 2nd on the relay race. I am not sure what else he got because in his excitement he forgot to tell me! He ran faster than I have ever seen him run during the relay race, I didn't know he could run that fast! Way to go!! He is really looking forward to future track meets :)
Kamryn did AWESOME too! Of course he has done this before but he did great tonight. His team also came in second when they ran the relay race. He is really fast in short distances and he does really well in the 400 meter! I am really looking forward to him growing as a distance runner. He got 31.3 in the javelin, which is much better than last year. He has really improved!
I am SOOOO proud of both of them and can't wait till their next track meet :) Until then.....

Easter Sunday
We had a GREAT day today. Wonderful church service and then off to the parents house to have an Easter egg hunt (they weren't there) The kids had a blast and I only got 12 picture :( Oh well, Rachelle and Anne got more :) We had a surprise late birthday party for Bob with friends and family and afterwards just hung out with family...yes, I said family (Anne) :)
Kara and Gavin were there (Jennifer's kids) and Andy. Gavin came walking into the living room and hiked his pants up to his chest and said "I'm a farmer!" We all started laughing and Andy looked at him like what the heck thanks alot. Andy is a farmer...lol. It was hilarious!
Later on Kamryn gave us a good laugh. Jennifer has this thing with giving everyone a tard name...mine is singingtard, Bob's is photard, Kris' is poptard, Kamryn's is Kamtard, Anne's is Retard...just because or we could just call her antard. So the list goes on and on and we were talking about the names and I have been calling Jennifer Queentard because she gave us the names and all of a sudden Kamryn says "She's Jenatard!" We all started laughing it was pretty funny...say it to yourself and you will see that it sounds like "Leotard" or like an antibiotic you can come up with your own if you like.
Let me know what your tard name could be...lol.

Life
Things have been crazy busy here since I last posted on the 22nd. Kris started in 3-midnight schedule this week which is his 4th week of work. So far he likes it...I however do not! It feels like I never see him :( He gets home at midnight and I am sleeping and then he gets up around 11 and has to leave by 1:15. I have also not been home a lot this week because Grandma BJ passed away so I am helping DaNene and everyone go through stuff before Mom and Bob have to go back to work. The graveside service for BJ is tomorrow at 5:30 followed by a memorial dinner at 6:00 at Athena Christian Church. Things are starting to slow down so next week shouldn't be so hectic.
We went to Vancouver this past weekend to see my Grandma and Grandpa up there because they were both sick. It was a GREAT visit! Sadly it wasn't long enough but we will be going back up soon. We took Whitney with us so she didn't have to deal with what was going on here. We took the kids to OMSI which was fun for them but in my opinion to expensive and not enough to do.
The boys were supposed to start track practice last night but the weather was bad so they are hoping to start tomorrow. They are glad for practice because they don't have to go to the funeral. Other than all the chaos going on here we are doing good and keeping busy.
One funny thing last night, again bedtime with Kamryn, he went running through the house screaming "I'm a moron!" I have no idea why he said that or if anything prompted him to say it...lol. I was in my room watching a movie and Kristopher was in the shower...just goes to show just how random Kamryn can be :)

Spring Break
I haven't posted in awhile because things have been slow...lol. The boys haven't said or done anything funny enough to have to write it down. They are excited that they are out of school for a week only because they are under the impression that they get to play video games ALL week long. Little do they know that they will be spending a lot of time outside if the weather stays nice :) I was suprised that today they wanted to stop playing and go outside and ride bikes...maybe this won't be so hard after all :)
I have not been feeling well, not really sick but not up to par. Dragging and it is killing me knowing that I am doing nothing. I am currently doing laundry which is taking all the motivation I have to get it done because I would rather just lay around and read or watch a movie...but life calls and I have to answer :) Kristopher woke up Sunday morning at 3:45 saying he couldn't breathe, that his stomach hurt and his throat hurt. He had a fever and was still sick until today...some little bug going around but we are thankful that it hasn't stuck around and that he is back to himself.
Kris works 10-7 this week :( Kind of sucks him not being home...but at least we see him before he goes to work and when he gets home :)
We aren't doing anything exciting this week just hangin out at home and maybe going to a park or two. Someday we will make it back down to the beach :) Someday...

MEGATRON!
I became a fan of a page on facebook called "My sister said that if I get 1 million fans, she will name the baby MEGATRON!" Well, Rachelle posted on my wall and said "HA HA HA! I am NOT naming it MEGATRON!" When I became a fan of the page I wasn't even thinking about Rachelle being pregnant. I couldn't stop laughing. I told her it wasn't about her and that I hadn't even put two and two together about her being pregnant and the page I became a fan of...lol. I am STILL laughing about it! I love you Rachelle and I wouldn't let you name the baby MEGATRON...although I became a fan because I think it would be hilarious if the person did actually have to name her kid MEGATRON! Good times, Good times!!

Checking in
I haven't blogged in a couple of days...but nothing "clever" has come out of the mouths of my children :) Until tonight...Kamryn got out of the shower and said "I found a chain which is evidence and Kristopher peed on the toilet seat!" That was totally random...how does a chain prove that Kristopher peed on the seat? :)
Other than that little line they haven't said anything else :( Kind of boring. we got a Wii and the boys are looking forward to playing that this weekend. have been busy getting ready for Anne's bridal shower which is Saturday at 10:30 at the church. Busy, busy, busy.
Tomorrow I have to meet with Mr. Copeland and talk about the Music Teacher job that will be for the next school year. Praying things go good there although it is not an interview he just wants to get to know me, what my education background is and fill me in on the job.
Now we are going to watch Planet 51...have a goodnight everyone. :)

Dinner with Kristopher and Kamryn
Earlier today Kris went to get propane in the tank and the only place that is open on Sundays their propane was out of order so he didn't get any. We had enough in the tank to cook dinner so we did. We sat down to eat dinner and Kristopher said to Kris "where did you get propane Dad?" Kristopher had gone with him earlier so he knew he didn't get any. Kris said "I didn't get any" and Kristopher said "So how did you cook the meat did you have some propane left?" and before Kris could respond Kamryn said "No Kris, he put them on the grill and let the sun burn them."
Where in the world does he get this stuff from...lol.
Where in the world does he get this stuff from...lol.
Lunch and the many hats of Kamryn :)

Had a good day at church and lunch with family and friends were there. Sean Robert (my nephew) was poking his cheesburger with a toothpick and counting as he did it...then he would stick the toothpick in the side and then start poking and counting all over again. The boys sat at a table with a friend and they talked it was nice to not hear them fighting :) My boys are growing up so fast.
Now I am home sitting on the couch below the window enjoying the sunshine :) Kamryn is at the basketball courts and Kristopher is stuck inside (he's grounded)
Here's a Kamryn story...last night there was an empty Dr. Pepper box on the kitchen floor and kamryn decided he wanted to make a good use of it. He tore the end flaps off and tried to put it on his head and said he was Slim Jim Man. Well, because his head is bigger than the box it would rip. Then he would tear that part off and try again, in the process calling himself Dr. Pepper Hobo man. Finally he gave up trying to get it to stay without ripping so he just let it rip the rest of the way and put it all the way on his head....he said he was Knight :) Kind of looked like a helmet. Silly, silly boy! Kamryn is known for putting things on as hats :)

Beautiful Day!!
We went grocery shopping today, which surprisingly went very well. Came home and put groceries away and now we are sitting outside enjoying the sunshine :) Sadly, Kris is at work until 6 then he comes home for about an hour and a half and then has to go do a paper route. Thankfully tonight is his last night doing that.
Kristopher is grounded but I am allowing him to sit outside with us so he can get some sun :) Getting ready to have a "girls night" with Rachelle and Anne...ok not really a girls night when we have all of our kids :) But hey...can't complain, I get to hang out with two people who are AWESOME!! :)

Dinner and a quick funny story
We just got home from a celebration dinner with Mom, Bob and Jen for Kris getting his full-time job. Mmmm Mmmm Good, Mongolian BBQ!! It was nice visiting with the rents and sibling :) We are still really wound up from the news and can't thank God enough for this wonderful opportunity :)
Compliments of Mrs. Wenzel (the boys music teacher) a funny story about Kristopher today. As you all know I have a Bachelors in Music....
Mrs. Wenzel wrote me on facebook and told me that she announced that the 5th graders will be playing their recorders on May 18th in the concert and that this was a mandatory assignment and it will only be excused with a signed note from their parents. She said there was the usual complaining and grumbling but there was one student who said loud and clear "I'm not gonna go!" and that student was none other than MY Kristopher! She had to keep from laughing because she knows I would not allow Kristopher to miss the concert.
So I just asked Kristopher about it and he started laughing and said "I'm not gonna go" and I said "Yes, you are" and he said "Fine, I'm wearing shorts!" LOL at least if he is going to rebel it will be by wearing shorts :)

Whoopi Cushions!
I got the boys whoopi cushions yesterday and they are playing with them right now. Kristopher blows his up and then puts it on the couch and sits on it. Well, if he doesn't put some force behind it, it won't go off. So he grips the couch cushion and the arm of the couch and pushes. He did this a coupld of times and the last time he did it he made grunting sounds...lol. It finally went off and it sounded so realistic and it fit with his grunting.! Boys will be boys :)
Kris' Job!!
Kris went in for orientation today at Home Depot and he was supposed to only be working temp for 90 days. He texted me around noon and said he had good news so I had to wait until 1:45 to hear the news.
He was offered a full-time position! He took it! So now he has a full-time job with LOTS of potential...our opportunities are endless! I am sooooo excited...and employee discount! SWEET!! God is so good!

Visiting with Anne
I am at Anne's house and we are talking about kids :) The topic of our lives cause we have too many kids and nothing better to do. I originally came over to talk about the upcoming bridal shower and the wedding and we haven't talked about it at all. :)
River is currently sitting on the edge of the couch starring at what I am doing, easily amused. Soon we will be talking about plans and then I will go back home and do nothing...story of my life.
That's what's going on right now...random I know :)

Direct TV
For those of you that have Direct TV or any thing like it :)
We watch a bunch of shows and when they all started back up again in September we were so busy that we decided to record them. We figured we would watch them the next night or before the next one came on. Well.....one episode turned into 2 and then 3 and so on all the way up to 14!! So over Christmas break we watched all of the House episodes and some of Ghost Whisperer and thought we had done pretty good. Then we fell behind again and now have 4 or 5 House to watch and back up to 9 Ghost Whisperer.
I finally decided that I would delete Fringe because it wasn't one of those that I HAD to see (there were 14 of them) and we had also recorded Three Rivers(13 of those)....well come to find out that show isn't on anymore...again, one season and then it is off. The main character in that show was in a show called Moonlight which was only on for one season and then never came back...so is it his acting or are they just putting him in shows that nobody wants to watch...although Moonlight was a dang good show! Ok back on track.....I didn't want to get hooked on a show that wasn't coming back on.
So over the past 3 days we watched about 3 Bones episodes, and all 14 of the CSI:Miami episodes we have missed. After getting through all of those I told Kris...we will watch them before the next one airs....we will see how long that lasts.
My advice to anyone who records their shows....don't let them pile up it takes forever to watch them. Although it is nice because you can watch them when you want, it is a pain if you don't stay on top of them :)
On another note....I'm hungry :)

First blog EVER :)
So, I am a regular status poster on facebook and a friend of mine told me I should blog so here goes nothin'. :)
I will start by saying I am happily married to my wonderful Husband Kris and we have two boys Kristopher and Kamryn. Most of my blogs will be about the funny things my children say and do and how I feel about things. I don't hold back when I am facebooking, tweeting or now this blogging :) When I feel strongly about something I voice my opinion :)....and I am VERY random as well :) I hope you all enjoy my blog!
So since most of you will have seen this on facebook I will just put this up quickly and go a little more into detail :)
Kamryn was in our room last night avoiding going to bed by trying to get on our bed. He had jumped on it three or four times and the last time Kris and I both said at the same time "Get off the bed!" Kamryn got this sad look on his face and said "you don't have to yell at me." Half way through that he started smiling. After he said that he walked towards our closet and opened the door. He stepped inside and said "I'm going to Narnia!" then shut the door. We just looked at each other and started laughing. While Kamryn was in the closet he said "I found it!" Again, all we could do was laugh :) Kamryn, is the commedian in this family and he does a fine job of it!
Ok, so that's the detailed version and I will hopefully have another funny story soon, or something just random and out of the blue :)
