Kamryn and His Teddy Bear

Kamryn was sleeping on the couch and when he got up his little brown bear was on the couch. I am watching the twins and Whitney for Rachelle while she is at a doctors appointment and Sean was sitting on the couch. Kamryn came back in and grabbed his bear so I asked him if he slept with it and he smiled and nodded. So cute :) As he is walking away with the bear Sebastian said "That is his Baby." It was cute and funny! Kamryn thought I was making fun of him but I wasn't. I think it is great that he still sleeps with his stuffed animals. Him and Kristopher have about a million of them so I am glad they still get used :)

On another note, my car is not running. We got the new radiator and put it in and it still wouldn't start. Come to find out the head gaskets are shot. We are currently waiting to hear about a new car. Just waiting and praying and knowing God is in control :)

I am supposed to hear about an interview time sometime between now and the 1st for the Music teacher position here. I will let everyone know when the interview is going to be.

The boys are getting bored as usual because "there is nothing to do." but sooner than they want it to happen school will start and then they will complain about that.

I hope everyone is surviving the heat and keeping cool, until next time...

Cars, cars, cars...

Last Thursday I was on my way home from clogging and my car overheated, there is a hole in the radiator. Went back the next day to put fluids in it to drive it home and when I went to start the car, fluid shot out of the hole. We now need a new radiator. It was bigger than we thought. Thankfully, it was right outside of Athena so my parents came to my rescue and took us home. I had a clogging performance in Baker on Saturday so Susan and I drove over on Friday and stayed the night. While I was gone Kris got the car home. Found out on Sunday that Mickie came to the rescue about 5 am on Saturday morning. She was coming home from work and saw two young guys looking in the windows of my car and looking at the tires. She pulled over and told them that she knows the owner of the car and that they better get lost! Thank you Mickie for stopping them from taking anything from my car.

The clogging performance went better than expected. A lot of the dancers were still not solid on the dances but when we messed up we just kept dancing. It was hot!! I danced on the float for about 90% of the parade until I felt like I was going to pass out. I remembered on the ride back to the hotel that I didn't eat breakfast! Of course I know better and I usually don't do that.

Yesterday we got a new radiator ordered and it should be here by Thursday. I am on a roll!! I was looking online and found the way to fix the A/C problem. There is a ticking in my dash which Kris and I knew it was caused by a door sticking. Hopefully, once the radiator is fixed I will be able to fix the A/C and get it running just in time for summer to be over...lol. Awe, we have a while before that happens :)

My brother will be getting out in 14 days!! I am soooo excited because he will be staying with me! He is cleaning himself up and I am excited to see him grow in his new life and in his walk with GOD!!

Well, back to watching episodes of House that we recorded. I will have something funny soon I hope :)

Summer Time

It has been a while since I have written anything so I decided at 1:18 a.m. that I would do just that :)

The boys have been out of school for a little over a month and within the first week off they were already saying they were bored. Go figure! Of course when they say that I tell them they can do chores and surprisingly enough they find something to do. They have been spending their days playing outside, playing video games and swimming at the pool in Pendleton. There have been many funny moments coming from both of them but I forget to write them down.

Kris is still working at Home Depot and enjoys it but does not like the fact that they are cutting his hours still! Other than that he is doing GREAT!

I applied for the music teacher position over here on May 8th and the closing date was supposed to be May 10th. Well, to my surprise when I called on June 18th I was told that there was to be a final budget meeting on the 21st and I would get a call around the 28th about whether or not they were keeping the program and when they would do interviews. So I called them on the 29th because I hadn't heard anything and was told that it then would be after the 4th of July before I heard anything because another person went in and picked up an application and they were giving her until this week to get it in. I did not call on Monday because I figured no one would be there. I called today and was told "we still don't know what we are doing with the job." UM HELLO!!!! So now I am supposed to hear something by the end of the week and if I don't I am to call back on Monday. Still no interview and school starts back up in a little over a month...what's WRONG with this picture?? Very, very frustrating! I just have to play the hurry up and wait game, hopefully, a little longer.

On a happier note, we went to Boardman for the 4th of July and it was AWESOME!! Kris spent his younger years in Boardman and thought that maybe we should go over there since none of us, except him, had been there for the 4th. We got to Boardman about 5:30 p.m. and the fireworks didn't start until 9:50 p.m., so next time we won't leave so early :) There were Canadian Geese all over the water and when the fireworks started they flew out of the water straight for the crowd! Once they realized there were people they stopped and stayed about two feet away from us. The boys were a little worried but eventually forgot all about them. There were two fountain fireworks that were the family's favorites and describing them here would not do them justice. One was a purple fountain that went off at different heights and the other was a multi-colored fountain that shot balls and spun in a circle...REALLY COOL!! Although we didn't get home until midnight we all had a good time.

We also got a puppy on the 4th, the boys named him Scout. He is lab/border collie mixed. They love him and are doing a great job taking care of him. He does very well at night when he isn't in his kennel, that will take a while for him to get used to. :)

Kris and I will be celebrating 3 years on July 13th! I can't believe it has been that long already...I know it really isn't that long but time sure does fly. We don't know what we are doing yet but we will be doing something :) Anyone want to babysit...lol...ok, supervise :)

Well, I think I have said enough for now. I will blog more often...if I can remember....
